UK protective packaging company Macfarlane Packaging and US-based Lantech have reached a new automation distributor agreement.
As part of the agreement, Macfarlane will offer Lantech’s high-quality stretch wrapping, case erecting, and case sealing equipment to its customers.
The collaboration aims to aid businesses in enhancing efficiency and reducing costs within their packaging supply chains.
Macfarlane category head Chris Machin said: “Working with Lantech to extend our automation offering allows us to provide our customers with pallet wrappers, case erectors and case sealers that deliver exceptional performance.
“The agreement further complements our already comprehensive range of automation solutions and enables us to support our customers in building resilient and sustainable supply chains.”
Lantech created its first stretch wrapper in 1970 to safely palletise and ship products.
Over the past five decades, the company has established itself as one of the leaders in stretch wrapping and packaging containment technology.
Lantech international sales manager Kieran Ford said: “It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce our distributor agreement with Macfarlane Packaging. Both organisations are leaders in our field and have a strong history of working with customers who need the right long-term solutions.
“With a wealth of knowledge, plus their Innovation Labs, Macfarlane Packaging is an ideal partner and we are excited about what the future holds.”
Last week, Macfarlane announced the acquisition of protective packaging distributor Allpack Packaging Supplies to expand its own protective packaging business.
