Package-proofing and prototyping printers
Representing a new generation of package-proofing and prototyping, the 24in-wide Epson Stylus® Pro WT7900 incorporates Epson’s latest achievements in aqueous ink jet technology. By combining the precision of its MicroPiezo® TFP® print head with the extraordinary performance of Epson UltraChrome® HDR white ink, the newest generation of Epson Stylus Pro printers continue to represent a level of technology unprecedented in Epson’s history.
Water-based white ink technology
The world’s first aqueous-based white ink technology is comprised of a breakthrough hollow resin particle that produces white density comparable with that from a flexographic press run. Featuring complete software control, the color-tone of white can be fully tuned to better match the white ink used on press. White ink controls are also available to apply an opacifying layer on ultra-clear films to better match final substrates. Built-in cleaning cartridges automatically maintain the printer, making it virtually maintenance-free. Importantly, Epson UltraChrome HDR White is a safer, water-based chemistry with no known carcinogens.
Proofs, comps and mock-ups of packaging products
The Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 excels at proofs, comps and mock-ups on clear and metallic media where white ink is required. It is also fully compatible with printing on aqueous coated paper-based stocks with full support for Epson’s line of proofing media. Whether creating a comp or mock-up of your next packaging product, or proofing a direct mail or publication advertisement, the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 will exceed your expectations. Running from a simple 110V wall outlet, and not requiring special ventilation, the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 is office and design-studio friendly.
