Of the top leading companies in the packaging industry, UPM-Kymmene had the greatest increase in references for environmental sustainability in Q1 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 694 environmental sustainability-related sentences in the company's filings - 14% of all sentences - and an increase of 6% in Q1 2024 compared with Q1 2023. Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget’s mentions of environmental sustainability rose by 1090% to 595 and Stora Enso’s by 18% to 559 and Smurfit Kappa Group’s by 59% to 391 and International Paper’s by 6% to 89.
